What is AP Statistics?

AP Statistics is a math course for high school students that focuses on college level stats. Within this course, one will learn how to construct and interpret graphs, compare data, bivariate data, categorical data and many more forms. This course contains labs and different exercises to learn and maintain information regarding statistics. The test is divided into two sections with 90 minutes to complete each section. The first section has 40 multiple choice and the last section has six free response questions. Hope you enjoy this course!

Definitions: Individuals:  Objects described by a set of data. Individuals may be people, animals, or things. Variable:  Any characteristic of an individual. A variable can take different values for different individuals. Categorical Variable:  Places an individual into one of several groups or categories. Quantitative Variable:  Takes numerical values for which it makes sense to find an average. Distribution:  Tells us what values the variable takes and how often it takes these values.   What You Need to Know: What is statistics?
